When I type a capital S while editing or creating my pdf document, the resulting letter is B. When I type s the resulting letter is s. How can I stop the big s from becoming a B?

Hi Susan,

Need a bit more information: What version of Acrobat are you using and what operating system are you on?

Did you create this PDF and if so from what (e.g., from scan? Word, ??)?

If you did not create the PDF, do you know its origins?

What font are you trying to use and do you have this font IN your system? (That is, let's say this PDF has Times Roman in the PDF but you do not have Times Roman in your system.)

if it's not a font issue (try changing the font when you Edit the text to see if it makes a difference). You might have some corruption somewhere else, maybe even in Acrobat itself.

if you are running the Windows version, try running the Acrobat Repair function:

Help > Repair Acrobat installation.

Also check to see if there are any updates are available for Acrobat that haven't been installed yet.

Help > Check for Updates
