I open Acrobat (2017, standalone product) and sometimes it takes forever to begin the scan. Sometimes it tells me that the device is not present or needs a driver. I will also not utilize the two sided document feeder on the Scanner/printer I am using. HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus. I can scan with the HP on its own but seems to have difficulty scanning through Adobe. Any advice?

Are you still experiencing this issue? If yes, check if Acrobat is updated to the latest patch by clicking "check for updates" under help menu. You may also download updates from this link: Adobe - Acrobat : For Windows
