Hi @EJOtt,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble, and the delayed response.

In case you are still looking for a solution, you might want to try the below steps:

Go to Menu-> Preferences-> Language-> uncheck the checkboxes as shown in the below screenshot.

Once done, try again.

I am having the exact same problem and it happens every time I try to make an edit on a pdf. Why is this happening constantly, and why has this not been addressed by Adobe!? Considering what we pay for this package, this ought to have been fixed by now. It keeps happening and has done since at least May of last year, so well over a year. Why should we keep having to try to find a fix or a workaround for something as basic as typing a number in to Adobe!!!!!!?
I have not make any changes or updates. This came from an Adobe update that has not been resolved in over 15 months.

Those are Arabic numerals. Check here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/language-for-numbers-locked-in-arabic/m-p/9759910#M95168 and report back if that solves the issue.

I also encountered this problem and your solution worked perfectly thanks - all sorted and numbers back to normal.

I did notice on the other thread that some contributors were having trouble finding preferences, as did I, and eventually found them in the 'Edit' drop down menu.
