Where is "add text comment" (without a border) tool in the new August 2023 Acrobat experience?

I can't find "add text comment" (without a border) tool in August 2023 Acrobat.

When I choose another similar sounding tool called "insert text comment" and clicking on a newly-created blank page, nothing happens. (I don't know what this for in either old or new version. It may have something to do with cursor?)

Workaround is to use "add text comment" (with a border), change properties to always have no border displayed and resize the border after typing.

The old version behavior of "add text comment" appeared to add text at position clicked on a page and then flowed right until reaching the edge of the document before wrapping to a line below original click.

Is there a way to accomplish the old behavior of the "add text comment" without a border tool in the new version?

Solved!

I found the Add text comment tool when I customized the Quick Action Toolbar.

Steps to duplicate:

Click on the 3 horizontal dots button on the bottom of the Quick action toolbar.

Click on the Customize button that displays next to it, opening the Customize quick action toolbar dialog.

Click on Comment to open a list of commenting tools.

Click on the Text tool to highlight it (T with a plus symbol). (This is the Add text comment tool that I used in the previous UI. It is the one without a border.)

Click on the Circle containing the plus symbol and underlined by a left facing arrow to add the Add text comment tool to the bottom of the Quick action toolbar.

Click Save button to close the Customize quick action toolbar dialog

Click on the newly added tool (T with plus symbol) and on Windows Version, position the "click to type insertion tool" over an area on the page and click and type to add a text comment without border that flows text to the right page border and left aligns under the original click. (On the Mac Version, you will just see the insertion tool without the "click to type" verbiage.

I'm glad to hear it helped. This was one of my most-used feature before the new interface. I'm glad it is still available, but it was a "chore" to figure out how to add it back so I could use it in the Quick Action Toolbar. I still use it all the time, so it has become "set it and forget it" until I use Acrobat on a new device.

This is one of my favourite tools as well!  Unfoturnately, this tool doesn't show any added text in the comments pane.  My Adobe Pro XI would log all notes added with the user name and date/time.  Does anyone know how to make that happen without having to use the add comment boxes?  I just want normal text.

I can see added text in the Comments pane when I use the Add Text Comment
tool. (I verified it works on both Windows and Mac.) If you follow my exact
instructions posted on Sep 06, 2023, you should hopefully be able to use
this tool again with the behaviour you want including logging with username
and date.

Thank you  For some reason that tool doesn't show up in my comments pane.  I have found I can use the "Add text comment" tool, remove the border and make that my default setting for that tool.  This works similar and shows up in the comments pane.  It is not as easy to use as the Adobe Pro XI that I was using but it will do.
