Hello there. I created a word doc and converted it into a PDF. I'm ultimately trying to convert it into a fillable PDF so the body of the document doesn't ever move. I know there's a way to Prepare Forms in Adobe Acrobat. But does it require one of the versions of Adobe that you pay for? I appreciate any insight on this.

Yes, you have to have Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Pro (installed on Mac or Windows). InDesign can also design forms ready for filling, but with many limitations; usually Acrobat is needed too.
