Hello!
This started happening recently on both of my printers (even my brand new one). It seems to only happen on photos and even if I move them on the page it occurs towards the end of printing them. The ink levels are fine and the test pages had no issue. I print labels as well and those print fine.
I print from the HP Smart mobile app (as I always have) and use the Photo tab, though the same results with the Document tab. I'm not doing anything differently than I have for the past couple of years.
Does anyone have an idea of why this is occurring?

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.
What is the version of the OS and the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.1.20142 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also, check for any missing/pending updates for printer driver and firmware and try updating it. You may also try to remove the printer driver and firmware and reboot the computer once and reinstall them from the manufacturer's website and see if that works for you.
Also, go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html and check if that works.
Regards
Amal

I guess that it could be Illustrator as well. The file is a PDF saved from Illustrator and printed through HP Smart App.
It is only happening when I attempt to print photos on greeting card paper. If I rearrange the photos the lines show in different places (it's not consistent). If I put 5 photos, sometimes 1 won't have lines.
I did update Adobe Acrobat but that did not resolve the issue.
Printers are up to date, with one being brand new and just installing all updates.

Hi there
Thanks for sharing the update. Please check with another PDF file created from Adobe Acrobat Application and check.
Also, please check the output settings of Illustrator and see if that helps.
