I am trying to convert a Word document that is 8.45 MB with two images into a PDF. It fails every time. I cleared the cache, then tried again. Please help.

Can you provide us with more detailed information about your computer, operating system, version of MS Office and version of Acrobat. Adobe revises and issues new versions of Acrobat whenever new computer OSs are introduced and new versions of MS Office are introduced.

I am running Microsoft Windows 10, version 1803 on an HP w/intel i7-4770 cpu, 12 GB memory, a solid state drive, 64 bit OS. Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 32 bit 14.0.728.5000. Hope this helps.

I use Acrobat Pro online, which I subscribe to monthly--however, Acrobat is also available in Word but does not convert any images, either.

I solved the issue with this particular document by copying ALL text and pasting it into NotePad to clear all formatting. Then I copied the text out of NotePad and pasted it into a new blank Word document. Of course, I had to reformat all 90 some pages, but it worked and took me less than 2 hours.

I also tried using the Acrobat that came with my version of Word for Windows for this particular document, but it does not seem to "see" images either. I rebooted the computer and it still did not work. Any ideas for future reference would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Are you using PDFMaker? One way is to use the Acrobat tab on the Ribbon.

What is "the Acrobat the came with [your] version of Word? Please go to Help > About and give us a name an version.

The only information I could find on my system about the Adobe PDF maker is a file with the following extensions: adobe\arm\1.0\

I don't think this will help you, but thank you for trying. The help section you suggested does not have anything about the PDF maker.

PS. I tried the Adobe from inside the document/on the ribbon, but the image does not appear when I use it. I have subscribed to an online version of Acrobat, paying $14.99 a month to Adobe, and that version works, showing the image every time.

Thanks so much!

So it's working now, Ethel?

When you open the PDF and choose File > Properties > Description tab, what does it say that the PDF was created with?
