When using the Recognise Text, I find it impossible to do anything else on my Mac.
Every time a new page is being analysed, Acrobat is brought to the forefront.
Even on a new M3 Max MacBook Pro, the cursor is shaped as a hourglass and it doesn't allow me to click on anything else. The whole system is stuck while Acrobat is doing this.
The CPU usage doesn't go above 100%, suggesting that this activity is not allowed to take advantage of multi-core yet? Still, why is it monopolising my system? These are long processes and one would like to get on with something else instead of just staring at the screen while it completes.
Is there anything that could be done to improve this experience?

Hi, @Inélsòre, the quick answer is no. I've been complaining about this for years and there has been no change. I heard from one source that it is a security thing but I cannot imagine how that would work.
My best suggestion is that you like up a number of documents you want to OCR, then go for coffee, lunch, or home while the work is being done.
Sorry
