Why is Chrome opening when trying to combine files now?

New Here ,

I used to be able to combine files, something I do daily for work, without Chrome opening a page for Adobe to do this in some super slow cloud that I hate. How do I stop this from happening? Why am I paying for the application to use on my desktop and getting sent to the internet instead, which isn't HIPAA compliant at all. Why would these features just start happening randomly without me agreeing to this too? Adobe is really going downhill.

How are you selecting to combine documents? Is that in Acrobat? What operating system are you using and what version of Acrobat?

Hi kelley_3175,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble caused.

Please let us know if this happens only when you combine PDFs. Could you please share the screen recording of the steps?

Has the issue started recently? If yes, please share the machine's Acrobat and OS version numbers.

We will get it checked.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
