A batch of PDFs were e-mailed to me. Several print fine, but one will not print no matter what. It displays fine, but when I send it to the printer, the HP printer lights up, and then times out. It will NOT print from Reader, Acrobat or Sierra's native viewer. However, the same PDF downloaded from the same e-mail on my Windows PC prints just fine. I don't want to have to keep a PC around just because some PDFs refuse to print on an Apple.
Another PDF in that same batch will print only the first page of a multi-page PDF, and then stops. (The print range is NOT set to just print the first page.)
I have tried re-downloading it on the Mac, and re-saving it. Nothing works.
It appears to be some kind of bug that a PDF prints fine in Windows but will not print on a Mac. Anyone else encounter such a glitch?

The fact that not only Acrobat, but MacOS Preview cannot fully print the PDF file obviously points away from Acrobat being the issue here.
What happens if you try printing from your Mac to some other printer (something other than the particular HP model you are having problems with)? Does that work?
I suspect that there is something in the PDF file that won't print that has some form of complexity that causes problems with the printer driver on your MacOS system. You could see whether Hewlett-Packard has an updated printer driver for your model for MacOS.

Unfortunately I only have one printer to test. For whatever it's worth, I did test "printing" it from Adobe viewer to Acrobat, and that did create a new PDF, but the resulting PDF also will not print to the HP. The latest drivers are installed, and the HP firmware was reinstalled. Thank you for the suggestions.
