Word to Acrobat Pro DC Radio Buttons

New Here ,

I have a Word document that I cannot get any of the Developer Controls to be automatically create into PDF. I've tried converting over combo boxes as well as radio buttons without any luck.

Specifically for the radio buttons, I've tried making radio buttons from the developer tab, adding Wingding symbols (various sized circle symbols), and making shapes. None of these approaches will automatically create a radio button when I make the PDF.

Is there something I'm missing? Maybe a certain setting not correct? I have tables in this same document that will create text fields that are editable with no problem.

You're not missing anything. The fields detection wizard in Acrobat is very fickle. Sometimes it works well, but often it does not. You can't rely on it to produce correct results and should take its output as a starting point in your form-creating process.

However, it is possible to produce certain field types with 100% accuracy, if you use a script. For example, I've developed (paid-for) scripts that will create check-boxes or radio-buttons from certain Wingdings characters, as well as text fields from a series of underscore characters, and they will correctly identify all such instances.
