Acrobat 10.1.16 Pro is no longer working in Windows 10

Acrobat X Pro has been working fine up until today, both as an adjunct to InDesign and a standalone app on my new Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) machine. Today, it simply refuses to run as a standalone application all no matter how I've tried; e.g., as Administrator, etc. Exporting from InDesign does seem to create a PDF document, however, it can't be opened in Acrobat Pro X.

I've tried to 'Repair' via Control Panel's Programs and Features twice with system restarts and full power cycles; all for naught. Curiously, my CS6 Web Design Premium was installed on my new machine exactly one month ago.

I do not have any Creative Cloud subscriptions, though there is present the unwanted intrusion of the Creative Cloud Manager App. Updating it to v3.7.0.272 naturally didn't help; however, under Apps, PREVIOUS VERSIONS, it lists all but Acrobat X which is part of the CS6 suite that I purchased.

Has anybody else experienced Acrobat Pro X ceasing to utterly work at all?

Hi kellybellis ,

Would like to inform that this could be due to the compatibility issues of Acrobat X pro with Win 10, for this refer to this article :- Adobe Acrobat system requirements

I have reviewed the system requirements, and all is okay for my new Windows 10 computer to work with Acrobat X.  Alas, can not get it to make a pdf file.  Any recommendations?

Where did you see that Acrobat X is compatible with Windows 10, exactly?

Hi Yatharth Vikram Singh,

The link to the system requirements page didn't explain why Acrobat worked for the past month, why it is broken today, nor what should be done to remedy a dysfunctional Acrobat Pro X. But thank you anyway.

Kind regards,

Kelly

Hi Kelly,

Have you tried to uninstall Acrobat only and then tried to install using the suite setup?

And when you trying to launch is throwing you any error? Are you able to see Acrobat.exe running in Task manager?

Regards,

Tariq Dar.
