Acrobat DC Installation problems

Guest
Aug 07, 2016 Aug 07, 2016

I have downloaded to iMac running OX 10 El Capitan.  When I try to install, the icon just bounces on the bottom menu bar.  After a few minutes, it stops but nothing has been installed.  It never gets to the point when it asks for my password to the computer (which is step 4 in the Adobe help instructions).  Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Hi paddys3313646 ,

Would like to inform you that Acrobat 9.5.5 is not compatible with your version of OS.

To view the e-statement you can try downloading the latest version of Acrobat Reader DC : Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Regards

Sarojini

I am not sure which version.  I downloaded from Purdue University's eStatements site.  I downloaded the estatement and it would not display..instead, a notice stated that I probable needed to download Acrobat DC and there was a link for it so I clicked it and downloaded the program.  I assume this is the standard version.

Hi paddys3313646 ,

Would like to inform you that Acrobat DC is a paid version and would require you to pay for the subscription to use .

Let us know if you have paid for any of the Acrobat DC versions?

Also the E-statement you trying to download ,what error message it throws when you try to open it?

Let us know.

Regards

Sarojini

I download the estatement and when I try to view it, I get this:

Please wait... If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows®, Mac, or Linux® by visiting http://www.adobe.com/go/reader_download. For more assistance with Adobe Reader visit http://www.adobe.com/go/acrreader.

In the Purdue statement section, it states: Viewing PDFs requires Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.x or higher.

I have Acrobat 9.5.5.
