Acrobat Plug-ins Problem in Adobe Acrobat 2022

Hi,

 

I am a learner of adobe plugin SDK. I am developing acrobat plug-ins with the latest acrobat SDK

 

The following problems were found during the test:

 

a) The plug-in cannot generate files to the computer. It has permission protection

b) Crash occurs when the plug-in copies multiline text.

 

 

If I turn off the protection mode, I won't have the above two problems. I found this information

What is the most reasonable solution?

Yes, by design, in protected mode Acrobat cannot write (or read) files except in very specific locations. Really that is the whole point of protected mode. The exception is where the Acrobat choose file dialog is used. The user has then authorised the file access. 

The crash in copy could be a bug.

1 What is this particular location? Document? I found that the program will automatically jump to this document dialog, but this location still cannot be saved. What's the reason 


2 Do you mean the bug of this version of adobe or the bug of  my plug-in? compared with other versions of adobe, I think it may be the bug of a specific version of adobe

Are you using an Acrobat API to allow the user to select a file name?

Or displaying a Windows Open dialog?

Or getting the file name some other way?

 

2 Yes, Acrobat bug. If you find a way to report an SDK bug, please let us know. Still it MIGHT be an error in your code, that is only provoked in protected mode, could be worth posting the code.

1. Just to create a file, we will display a dialog box to let users select the file location and name, and then export the file to the selected location. It works in many other versions, but we tested the latest version 2022.001.20085 failed. see 1.png

 

2. For the copy problem, in order to facilitate your troubleshooting, how to report the problem to you? Are there any detailed operation method or steps? The acrobat versions with problems are 2022.001.20085 and 2021.011.20039... see 2.png

Also, you said Acrobat crashed. But now you show an error message instead. What is the actual symptom?

To be exact, an error is reported when pasting the text in the clipboard into the multiline text box.
