Acrobat Pro XI crashing on Mac OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

I am using the most recent update of Acrobat Pro XI (11.0.13) and Mac OS X El Capitan (10.11.2). Acrobat Pro is set as my default PDF reader. Frequently, when I try to open a PDF after Acrobat Pro has been open for some time (and other PDFs are already open), Acrobat Pro crashes. Please let me know if there is a solution to this problem.

Unfortunately, it is not better. The problem persists.
