Acrobat x Pro asking for serial number after years of working fine.

I have been using Adobe creative suite 6 design and web premium for years on my MacBook Pro, and today Acrobat x Pro has asked me for my serial number. It was working fine yesterday.

I have entered the serial number from the disk and it is saying it is not a valid serial number for this product.

How do I get around that?

I went through all the steps and ended up having to reinstall the entire suite. But its all fixed now.
