Acrobat XI pro tells me "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat X or Adobe Reader X, or later." Does Adobe count the versions backwards?

When I try on Acrobat XI Pro to insert a page from another pdf file into a pdf, I get following message instead of the inserted page!

Am I wrong thinking that the version of Acrobat XI Pro is more recent than Acrobat X or Adobe Reader X?

Why do I get this message constantly and why does it block me from continuing to work on my document?

‌Inserting TO a portfolio is one thing. The problem here is the "page" you are tiring to insert. It isn't a page, it's a portfolio.

‌This is not a regular PDF, it is a portfolio, a collection of separate things, not just a run of pages. What you've inserted is a normally invisible cover page. What did you want "inserting" it to do with all these things?

Hi

thanks for the quick reply.

It's is a PDF portofolio that I use to regroup several pdf-documents (initialy created with Adobe XI from emails in Outlook) for having an archive and quicker research possibility. It allways was working, now for all page that I try to add, I get this message.

I don't know if I can paste the system report in this message as it is public, but I can send it to you by mail.
