Acrobat XI text field properties dialogue box

There has to be a simple answer...

When I  select "properties" for a field the dialogue boxes displayed are very large.

But specifically for the "format" tab, the dialogue box is so large I cannot see the bottom of it, so I cannot close it and change any formatting.

I see no way to  make these property items display smaller
