Are you sure this is not a file created by exporting form field data to an XML file?
You will need Acrobat to import the XML file to original form or a copy of that form.

Acrobat X is all I know... Can you locate any Adobe XML file online?, send it to me at email- rd4@outlook.com & I will test my instructions myself. Or as an alternative, you can do the very same thing from your end & give me a final reply right here? It's your choice? Thanks.

You are printing a PDF to PDF. This is considered a very bad idea. WHY are you doing this? What is the problem that you want to solve?
There are MANY types of XML file, so this does not really explain the type of file you are using. Please tell us what makes you describe it as an "Adobe XML file". Details please.

A. By clicking on the 'Print; icon in the designated step that I enclosed, one also obtains function #2 which is just converting the file over from Adobe XML to standard PDF format.
A2 How do I initially determine that an Adobe XML document is not a standard PDF file? Because after opening up the 'Tools' tab at the top, then "Pages' tab immediately afterwards, the "Insert From File' selection is "grayed out"- implying that the actual merging to other PDF files cannot be accomplished. But it can after clicking on the Print icon, then re-saving it will change it's format (as this will eliminate the "grayed out" area that I just stated).
A3 I had two IRS tax forms that originally had the "grayed out" mentioned that I successfully converted over, but at this time I did not save an extra copy that I can show you. I'm currently awaiting this from the Tax individual that I just dealt with, as he is apparently behind with his scheduled tasks. When I get it, I'll notify you, ok?.

You should see the Acrobat PDF Icon.
If you open the file with a plain text editor, the first line of text should "%PDF-1.#" where "#" is a value between o and 7 indicating the standard level of the PDF. This applies to any PDF no matter how it is created. There are a lot more rules about how the document is structured but not starting with "%PDF-1.#" will tell your OS it is not a PDF file. The only way I know of for the creation of a PDF using the XML format is to use LiveCycle, formerly JetForms.

Your reply here deals with Method #2, which I was totally unaware of.
But getting back to my original question of whether steps 04 & 05 were directly related to the overall procedure or not?, do you want to wait until Friday of this week to reply to this question (after I obtain the original IRS Tax Document from my party)? Friday should be enough time allowed. Just provide me an outside email address (if I'm not able to send you this thru this website). If attachments can be sent to you thru this website, provide any specific instructions on the procedure at hand? Thanks.

You did not send a private message.
Most responders like myself are volunteers and not paid for our services. We have paid jobs and need to do all things that you need to do like taxes.

When I get the Adobe XML File by Friday, I'll send it over to you here- very simple! Then you can answer my original question with the included document in your hand, as it's that simple! (with my instructions)

I now have the file in question. Can it be attached here OR do I need an outside email address to send it to you?

The file in question is already in Adobe format (XML). If I did not have Adobe Acrobat on my computer, then common sense would tell you that I could not open it up at all.
