I have a PC running WIndows 10. I am using Acrobat DC Pro to attempt to create PDF from my HP Officejet 4635 Scanner.
I have previously been able to make this work, but am unable to now. I am using WIA and "custom scan."
I am able to scan to PDF using the HP scan to computer function, so I know that the scanner is installed properly and functional.
It appears that my scanner works, just not with Acrobat.
Please assist me in figuring out how to regain the ability to scan to PDF with Acrobat.

Tried all the troubleshooting tips including purchasing a new version of Acobat! I have uninstalled and reinstalled every driver and program. This seems to be related to the OCR feature which indicates and error when I merely open a PDF in Acrobat.

Are you still facing same issue. Please update Acrobat to latest version or share the Acrobat version number.

Using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - 2015 Release (Classic) Version 2015.006.30201
I am using a Window 10 Pro with the latest updates installed
I am using an HP Officejet 4635 Printer/Scanner with the latest drivers and connected via USB only (Not WiFi)
I am able to scan using HP's scan to PC, but I want to recover the ability to scan to Adobe Acrobat.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

I don't know if its related, but I get this error message...
Unable to process the page because the Paper Capture recognition service experienced an error. (10001)
This happens if I try to use Acrobat to mark up an existing PDF.

Hi Edward,
We are sorry for the issue you are facing.
One thing that can that can be used here for now is that you can turn off OCR while scanning and let us know if you are still facing the black pages issue. If not, then try to run OCR on the document and then if the doc gets blackened, Please share the non OCRed pdf doc with us for more analysis.
Thanks
