combined documents are not rotated

New Here ,
Mar 18, 2016 Mar 18, 2016

I have documents that i scan from our printer to my email in PDF format on a daily basis and then every two weeks i take all those files and merge to one large document.  Each time i scan the files i  make sure that they are rotated correctly when i save them. but when i merge them some are rotated and some are not causing me a sever headache.  I am looking at approxi 135 pages once merged so this is very frustrating, what am i doing wrong and how can i correct it?

Hi michelleh,

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are facing issue when combining scanned pdf, is that correct?

Could you confirm the application you are to combine pdf? adobe acrobat?

Also, let us know dot version of Acrobat and the operating system installed on the machine? You may refer to the steps given in this link on how to check the version in Acrobat: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Also, try combining pdf using this link: https://cloud.acrobat.com/combinepdf and check if this behavior continues.

Let us know if you need any help.

We have the exact same issue.  Four documents, several pages long are merged at the same time. All four have the pages in the correct rotation but after merging them a number of the pages are now rotated clockwise.  Adobe Acrobat DC Standard version 19.010.20069.

Also, your link to ...combinepdf doesn't work.  It redirects then redirects again to https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/without showing the document in question.

Thank you,

Jon

Hi Jon,

I tried replicating the issue using acrobat DC version 2019.010.20069 using both the methods - selecting multiple pdf files in explorer>combine files in acrobat and by launching acrobat> tools>combine files but the issue was not reproducible.

Also, try combining using this link and check if that works: Adobe Document Cloud

You may try resetting preferences for Acrobat using the steps given in this link: How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.  reboot the machine after resetting preferences and check if that helps.

Let us know if you need any help.

We've reset the preferences and have tested a few items, so far it is working as expected.  However, I'd like to give it a few days before signing off on it.

Also this link from your message... "Also, try combining using this link and check if that works: Adobe Document Cloud

Doesn't work, it takes me to the document cloud and wants me to purchase the Adobe PDF Pack.  Is there a publicly accessible link?

Thank you!
