So we have some large manuals and we provide updates from time to time.  When we do we send out summary of changes and use the PDF open hyperlinks to take users right to the page they need to be.

We have done this without fail for long time.  We started to have a new user do this task and for some reason the hyperlinks are changing from when converting in Word to PDF.

Example:

We might have link like   manual.pdf#page=15

Should open the PDF to page 15.

When we look at the PDF that is created/exported some % signs and "23" is added.  So the hyperlink is now incorrect and shows as -- manual.pdf%23page=15

I can't tell if this is a word or PDF setting issue.  Anyone heard of this?

You need the pound key to go to page 15. I would watch him / her doing the task and watch the workflow. You will see this kind of problem on the web a lot when people put spaces in filenames.

Are you using Destinations?
