Question

Creating Bookmarks in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5.5

1. What settings, if any, do I have to make so that when I open a document, it will always open with the "Bookmarks" panel open?

2. What settings should I make so that when I click on a bookmark it will display the page and location that was in view when the bookmark was created, which is the bookmark’s destination?  The problem I am experiencing is that bookmarks created (located) around the bottom one-quarter (1/4) of the page opens at the top of the next page when the bookmark is clicked!  However, those bookmarks located at the top 3/4 of the page opens at the created location when they are clicked.

1. Go to File - Properties - Initial View and set the Navigation Tab option

to "Bookmarks panel and Page".

2. Under the same tab, set the Page Layout option to "Single page

continuous".

Thank you try67.

I have performed the same settings before but bookmarks created at the bottom of the page did not work as the top of the following page was displayed when the bookmark was clicked!

However, I have no problem with creating bookmarks anywhere on the page using another software, Nuance PDF Converter Professional.  I am more familiar with Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5.5 and would like to use it all the time if I can have this problem resolved.

I need help from anybody, including Adobe staff!

You could crate a "destination" and then set the bookmark to go to that destination.
