Does Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard work Windows 10?

Until I upgraded to Windows 10, by Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard worked fine. Now w/Windows 10 I get an error message and instructions to uninstall and reinstall. I no longer have the install disc. I started with adobe 6 standard and that was updated to the current version. What can I do to resolve this issue short of buying the new and expensive Acrobat DC?  I have not tried any troubleshooting since the message seems pretty self-explanatory. I need to know how to download something that will allow me to reinstall Acrobat 9 Standard.

Hi milt77,

Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Windows 10.

It may or may not work.

uninstall all acrobat and reader versions.

clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

restart your computer.

reinstall acrobat 9 std.  you'll need your 9 std's serial number and a previous version's serial number.
