Installing adobe acrobat pro XI on a new computer but getting a message that a "qualifying" product is not installed.  Adobe acrobat pro XI is installed on my computer but is not listed as a qualified product from the drop down.  The message  says that mu serial number is valid, but no qualified product is downloaded.

Hi William Jones,

Please make sure that you are entering the correct serial number for the product.

Also share the exact error message you get.

Refer this KB doc : Error: "This serial number is not for a qualifying product" | Adobe Creative Suite.

Let us know if this resolves your issue.

Regards,

Meenakshi

When I go to select the product in the drop down, Adobe acrobat Pro XI is not listed.  Adobe Acrobat X Pro and Adobe Acrobat XI is listed but not Adobe Acrobat Pro XI.

Hi William,

It seems you are using and upgrade serial number for Acrobat XI.

Upgrade serial numbers can only be used if you have been using a qualifying older version of Acrobat.

In such a scenario you need to keep the older serial number handy  because the installer will check if you have been using an older version of the software and purchased the right upgrade.

Regards,

Rave

‌Just to be clear...you need to enter the serial from your copy of Acrobat 9 or 10. This is to prove you are entitled to use the reduced price upgrade. Keep your old serials forever!

Help.  I am having the same issue.  I've had y XI Pro version from 2013 and am trying to reinstall (from using latest download) at Adobe.  I have my orignal email and my account refers to the same Serial Number.

That all said, I keep getting the "serial number upgrade" screen...with the response about my SN being valid, but not for the install.

I have NO clue what prior versions I was running in 2013, nor what serial numbers the were under?

What do I do now?
