I have a 100+ page report in Excel that I convert into a PDF using VBA. So far, so good, everything looks great.
I then am using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro to convert the PDF into a PowerPoint file and that's when the wheels come off. The charts are misshapen, the text orientation in several cells gets skewed miserably, etc. I've tried using Nitro Pro 10 to do the same and I get the same sort of problems, but in other places in the file. Between the two programs, I can generally cobble together a workable PowerPoint, but this is not ideal.
Frankly, what I would like to do is convert the PDF pages into PowerPoint as images. I think there's a good chance that this would preserve the visual formats that I want, but I've been unable to determine if this is doable. If I was doing this directly from Excel to Powerpoint, I would copy the whole sheet and paste special as an image, then position accordingly. I'd like some help figuring out if this is something I could do from the PDF using Acrobat.
