Fill & sign feature not working

New Here ,
Oct 10, 2016 Oct 10, 2016

When I have a PDF open in Adobe Acrobat DC, I select 'Fill & Sign' and the page goes blank.

Then, if I click on the X and exit out of the feature, the page reappears but I cannot drop in my signature.

How do I get this function working again?

Thanks.

Hi AmyatHillard

You might try updating Acrobat DC and see if that fixes the issue.

Launch Acrobat>navigate to Help menu>select Check for Updates.

Could you please let me the version of Acrobat DC installed on the machine?

To check the version of Acrobat, launch Acrobat>navigate to Help menu>select About Adobe Acrobat DC

Which operating system do you have- Windows/Mac?

Have you tried using Fill & Sign on other pdfs?

Hi AmyatHillard

We have released an update in which this issue has been fixed, try to update Acrobat DC, restart the machine, and then try to use the Fill & Sign feature.

Launch Acrobat DC>navigate to Help menu>click on Check for updates

Let us know the results.

Thank You,

Hi Shivam,

I just tried the 'Check for Updates' as advised and it says no updates available.

And it is still not working.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks.

Hi AmyatHillard,

Try to follow the below mention steps and see if it works:

1- Repair Acrobat installation, launch Acrobat DC>navigate to Help menu>select Repair installation (for Windows).

2- If that doesn't work, try removing Acrobat DC using Cleaner tool (for Windows) from here: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs , restart the computer, and reinstall Acrobat.

For Mac, uninstall Acrobat DC, visit this link for the same: How can I remove a program from my mac? |Official Apple Support Communities and reinstall.

Let me know if it worked.

Thank You,

Shivam

Hi Shivam,

I have already tried 'Repair' and Uninstalling and Reinstalling the software.

I am told this is an issue with a number of adobe customers and am yet to be advised on a solution (over 2 weeks later).  Currently have a 'band aid' fix which makes the process twice as long.

This issue is highly effecting productivity in our business and i'm quite disappointed with the support and response received.

If this is not resolved soon I will be requesting a refund as the software is not functioning as promised.

Amy

Hi Siennaa,

Could you try rebooting the machine if you haven't already and try again. Also, check if an update is available for Acrobat or Reader using "Check for updates" option under "Help" menu, reboot the machine after installing update and try again. You may also download updates from here: Adobe software and product updates

Could you let us know the dot version of the application installed on the machine. You may refer to the steps given in this link on how to check the version: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC Also, the operating system installed on the machine?

What happens when you try to use Fill & sign option? Is there any error message?

Thanks,

Shivam

I have another problem-when I fill and sign a form, I will check one selection on the form, the check mark appears. When I check the next selection on the form (I'm filling out an application, the check in the previous selection vanishes!) please advise...
