Flatten Comments not Form

I've read through every discussion I could find regarding flattening of PDF's. I know how to flatten my PDF by printing it to a PDF, in preflight mode, and with Java Script. I have an addition to a contract I need to send out and I want to save it as a form with the fields enabled. I simply want to add their name in the proper spots, flatten the "comments" that are generated when you add a text field. Every method I've tried flattens my form fields. Is there a way to do this, flatten comments but not the form fields?
