Question

Hello [need to install Acrobat in laptop with no disc drive]

Hello,

I have Adobe Acrobat X.  The software is in disc form.  I want to install it on a smaller laptop, but the laptop like many smaller ones does not have a disc drive.  Obviously the standard disc installation will not work.  Does Adobe make provision for this type of installation if you've purchased the disc?  If the license can be validated, can an online download be done?

Thanks.

Yes, Downloadable installation files available:

Download and installation help for Adobe links

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

OK.  I thought that with the license it has to be one or the other based on what you originally purchase, disc or online download.  I was not aware you could do both.  I will try the online download.  Thanks.

the license is for the serial number.  the installation files are freely available for everyone (licensed or not).

but only a valid serial number will activate an installed adobe program so it can be used beyond a 30 day trial period.
