How do I change the icon that appears in the Tools menu for custom plugins

I am looking at the SDK plugin sample SelectionServer and I am not seeing how to change the default folder icon to something custom. I tried "AVToolBarSetIcon" but that didn't seem to affect the icon that is displayed on the Tools page.

Look at AVToolBarSetIcon and AVIconCreateFromPDF. And AVToolButtonNew. I can't share any code, but they are involved.

Yes, it is possible. I remember it was a major challenge with incomplete documentation and methods which would crash Acrobat. The comments say that AVToolBarSetIcon was a late addition to the API.
