how do I find my protected document password?

I opened a document that's "Secured" and when I try to open it up in edit/designer mode it asks for the password which I never remember setting up. Thank you.

It may be that you just Reader-enabled the document. If so, you can select: File > Save a Copy

and open the copy that you just saved. It doesn't open automatically. It could be restricted from editing by standard password security or a certification or other type of digital signature. You should be able to get more information by selecting: File > Properties > Security
