The most common issue is not installing Acrobat Pro. It's a different app. Acrobat Reader never changes, never stops inviting you to buy.

You can also install Adobe Acrobat Pro from here Download Adobe Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X

Make sure you sign in with your Adobe ID under which you have Acrobat subscription in order to edit PDF.
