How do I reactivate Adobe 7.0 on Win 98 sp 3?

This keeps going in a loop, so if this is a repeat, apologies.  I blew the vid chip on my lap top and had to replace motherboard.  Now 7.0 says need to reactivate (error code 24.24) but cannot or will not do so through program even though it is connected to the internet.  Adobe customer service assures me that you guys have the answer.  Hope so.  I'm currently dead in the water work-wise.  Thanks
