I obviously work with a lot of pdf files. I am trying to combine several into one pdf. Unfortunately I am getting a message saying that one file is password protected.
Can I remove that password when I have no idea who would add one?
Thanks!
Hi Alison,
The password was apparently added by the author of the PDF to prevent just such activity as you're attempting. The appropriate and ethical thing to do would be to contact the author of the document and request either the password or an unprotected version.

I recieve my payslips via email as password protected PDFs. I can open the PDF no problem at all but it wont let me save it with the Open password removed. Before using Adobe i had no issue at all exporting the file to my Desktop with the open password removed simply by selecting export PDF. If Adobe doesn't allow this could someone please recommend on how i remove it.

You need to know the Edit-file password to be able to do that.
We will not recommend here any tools to bypass PDF security.
