Hi there, I'm trying to create a field with a MM/DD/YYYY date format. I've inserted a Date field into the document, but I can't find anywhere that allows me to specify. Is there a way to do this in forms? Relatedly, is there a way to make a Text field numbers only? Please let me know, and thank you!

Open the "Properties" for the field. There will be a number of tabs, select the "Format" tab. Now select the "Date" option in the dropdown. You will no be presented with a number of possible options. If you do not see the one you want, then select "Custom" at the very bottom of the list and enter the format wanted.

Odd. When I open Field Properties, I am only given tab options for General, Appearance, Position and Options. There's no Format tab.

This is normal behavior when you have multiple fields selected.
Format is only available when one single field has been selected.
Hope this can help.

I am only selecting one field at a time. I'm thinking there might be something wrong with this document. I opened a different PDF file, and all the options are there. Not sure how to fix it.

Click on Tools - Prepare Form and then click on "More" at the right side of
the window and then on "Revert to Acrobat Form".
