How do I show thumbnails as the default view. I have just started a trial of Acrobat DC and can't find how to fix the thumbnail view as default.
Thanks George. This appears to work for individual documents only. If I carry out your instructions, close the document and then re-open it then sure enough the thumbnail view is opened immediately. However, if I then open another document the thumbnail view is not there. I need the thumbnail view to be open by default for all documents like older versions of Adobe and other PDF software packages. If you can help that would be great.

The closest you'll come to that in any version of Acrobat is by selecting the following user preference:
Edit > Preferences > Documents > Restore last view settings when reopening documents
and you'd have to close the documents with the Pages pane (aka Thumbnails) open.

Thanks George. Looks like I will have to stick with using the F4 button to show the thumbnails. I appreciate your help.
