This did not work.  The error 1328 keeps happening.   Also that particular page does not warn people to deactivate their Adobe license so they can reinstall the new software.

Hi sethanneh,

Use cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs and restart your system.

Then install Acrobat XI Pro from this link : Download Adobe Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X

Hi sethanneh,

If you are trying uninstall and re-install of Acrobat application on the same system where it is already installed then you do not need to deactivate it.

Refer this thread for help : Can't deactivate Acrobat XI Pro

Thanks but when i try to download i get a message saying i have exceeded my allowed downloads for this machine.  also the help menu does not contain deactivate, it has activate greyed out.  If i open a PDF file there is no deactivateon the Help menu.  My reader is not part of the Acrobat XI suite.
