how to hide tools pane?

just had Adobe DC installed... how do i keep the tools pane from opening every time?

very annoying!!!

If you mean the pane to the right of your document, click the tiny triangle to collapse it. It will stay that way on open and close.

In my case hiding the Tools pane works for any document I open. So let's look at Acrobat Preferences and see if you need to set them:

OK - just did an update and now it seems to 'stick' and not open with every doc

Also each document has an "Initial View" that the author sets. For example he may want the bookmarks pane and page display set on opening.

If it isn't locked, you can change those.  Go to File > Properties and click on the Initial View tab. Set it to where you want, click OK and exit the document so the changes are saved.
