It probably isn’t impossible, but juggling two event driven APIs may be an interesting challenge. Be aware of thread limitations in plugins:

1. If you block the main thread you block all of Acrobat (so don’t)

2. Plugins cannot wait for events or timers. (Plugins can register for idle callbacks at intervals).

3. It might be better to use the ActiveX from a second thread. You MUST NOT use any Acrobat API from an alternate thread.
