Hi lawrencew78647297,

Please try the follow steps and let us know:

1. Launch Acrobat, Click on Help menu > Repair installation (Make sure everything else is closed).

   - Restart the machine and then try updating it again.

   - If the automatic updating didn't help again.

2. Download the update patch manually and try installing : Adobe - Acrobat : For Windows

3 If above steps didn't help either

Download new installer. : Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI, or X

Uninstall Acrobat XI using cleaner tool : Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

   Reinstall and try updating again.

Hi lawrencew78647297 ,

Please refer to this KB article :- Adobe install error 1311, 1335, or 2350: "Source file not found... data1.cab" | Windows

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you Yatharth.

I came across that suggestion and, short of turning off my Norton 360, I was wondering if it was applicable.  I've had this Adobe product on my computer for years (Windows 7).  This update is showing up in my notification area but when accepted, it reverses the installation with the noted error.  I'm not sure if I have the original DVD or download file for the program, I do have my serial number though.
