I can no longer "Save as other...Reduced Size PDF...

I am using Adobe Acrobat XI Version 11.0.13 on a MacBook Pro running OSX El Capitan 10.11.2 and since my last Adobe Acrobat update I can no longer take a scanned PDF document and replace the file in the original directory with the original name as a reduced size PDF. I have always done this for years, now I get the message:

Conversion Warnings

Please check if you have permission to write to this location and have sufficient disk space.

This issue was fixed in the 11.0.14 release. Can you please visit Help > Check for Updates within Acrobat to apply the latest patch.

I previously tried to do the update to 11.0.14, but it would not work. I finally uninstalled Adobe Acrobat XI, re-installed, and then I was able to get the update to work. All is working now.
