Hi indybob ,

Could you please tell how Adobe keeps installing Reader?

Could you please tell what Operating System do you have - Windows/Mac?

Thank You!

I am running Windows 10, 64-bit.  I have no idea how Reader XI keeps getting installed.  My version of Pro X is set to not autoupdate as I was hoping that would stop Reader XI from constantly being installed.

Hi ,

I would like to mention that Adobe XI Pro will not try to install Reader when its updating itself. If you want you can uninstall Reader XI, you can do so by following below mention steps:

1- Right click Start button and select Programs and Features

2- Locate Acrobat XI and right click and select Uninstall.

Let us know if you face any issue.

Thank You!

Shivam

I have uninstalled Reader so many times my head spins.  It all started with DC Reader, but then flipped to Reader XI.  I have removed every mention of Reader from the Registry when simply uninstalling it didn't work.  I never install Reader.  It just keeps showing up and taking over opening all PDF files.
