Question

I need to deactivate Adobe Acrobat XI.

The link is available to deactivate but nothing happens after you click, the drop down menu simply disappears and nothing more.  If I go back to see if it's deactivated, it only shows that the deactivation link is available.

Hi Lawrence Hutchinson,

Please follow these steps:

1. Make sure that your machine is connected to the Internet

2. Choose 'Help > Deactivate' in the product you wish to deactivate

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks, but that's exactly what's not working.  I'm connected to the internet but when I click the "Deactivate" link it does absolutely nothing.  No return, response, error, just nothing.  I've also tried running as an administrator (even though I'm logged in as an administrator).  It doesn't work at all.

Hi Lawrence Hutchinson,

Could you please let me know if you are using the volume license for Acrobat XI.

If yes, then you won't be able to deactivate the software.

If its not a volume license, then please repair Acrobat first from the Help menu and then again click on Deactivate option from the Help menu.

Let me know if that helps.

Anubha

We went ahead and installed it on the new drive and it activated.  We're thinking that it did deactivate, it just didn't respond with the proper and expected return.  Thanks anyway.
