I want to get rid of the frame that pops up every time I start Acrobat.

It's annoying and not very helpful.  I should be able to go inot Preferences and get rid of it.  Any help will be appreciated!

Hi L.R.Cote,

Could you elaborate more about the issue you facing?

Please let me know whats the exact dot version of the software you are using and the OS version you have?

What kind of pop is that?

Please attach a screenshot of the pop up you get.

Regards

Sarojini

I'm using the latest version from ACC - version 2015.010.20056.  That little window doesn't want to stay open!

When I open a PDF, there's a frame surrounding the document. On the right of the document is a list of actions - Create PDF, Edit PDF, etc.  Above my doc are more actions using icons - save to disk, save to cloud etc.  I want to get rid of the full wondow, and I'd prefer a bar with all the actions like one sees in Illustrator or InDesign.

Here's a screenshot (I'm doing genealogy research):

Hi L.R.Cote,

You can hide the tool bar by navigating to View>Show/Hide .

Also you can hide the Tools pane by navigating to Edit>Preferences.

Here is a screenshot :

Uncheck the option highlighted . This will make your Tool pane not to appear when you open the document.

Please let us know if this resolves your issue.

I dont seem to have that option in Preferences > Documents:

And View > Show/Hide doesn't have a Frame option.

I guess I'm doomed to have that stupid window floating around my desktop.
