I also ran into this issue. When I tried installing using the direct installer (linked from http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2015-direct-download-links.html), it failed as well, but the error log said this:

Mar 23 17:02:23 MacBook-Pro installd[313]: ./postinstall: Error in converting the plist /Library/Preferences/com.adobe.PDFAdminSettings.plist to xml1 format

Mar 23 17:02:23 MacBook-Pro installd[313]: ./postinstall: Could not install PDFAdminSettings

So I deleted "/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.PDFAdminSettings.plist" (it was an empty file) and re-ran the installer. This time, it succeeded.

In my case, this seemed to be a case of a corrupt Mac OS. When I re-installed (or repaired), I was able to download and install. I would add that my first two installs of Pshop and Illustrator went fine, its when I went to do Acrobat, the system seemed to be corrupt? I did all 3 install in a row (or tried).

Hi Puneeta,

I've removed all traces of Adobe. Still not working. Not from the internet, not from creative cloud, not from offline instalation.

Any other suggestion please?

Thanks.

Alex

Can you re-confirm the error message you are getting when you try to install Acrobat via Adobe Creative Cloud? if possible screenshot.

Is it DW006 apple package failed to install?

Did you tried installing via Creative Cloud  after complete removal process or before?

We will need to check few things as you already performed complete removal process. it is Ideal to check with error log .

1. The error message when I try to install Acrobat via Adobe Creative Cloud is error exit code 7.

2. Yes DW006 package failed to install.

3. I tried both.

What else can I do now?

Hi,

Error 301 can happen due to file permission issue. Using root account makes it sure that there is no such restrictions while installing updates. You may also contact our customer support team to get help instantly

Hello again ...

For now I helped me with a copy of a working installation with all relevant files from my main computer (Yosemite) to my Mac Book Pro (El Capitan). Adobe DC runs without problems now. However, still get an error message when I check for updates (error 301) - can be related to El Capitan, because I run into this issue since OS X 10.11. ?

Best regards

Joerg
