Installing Acrobat X Standard

New Here ,
Apr 20, 2016 Apr 20, 2016

I had Acrobat X Standard and then uninstalled to download Reader DC.  I have now cleaned all Adobe fills and would like to reinstall my old Acrobat X.  I don't have a disc but have my serial number that came with my Dell.  How do I do that?

Hi chriss42520505 ,

Please refer to this link for downloading Acrobat X standard :- Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI, or X

Let me know if it works.

Since posting I found an Acrobat X folder on my computer that had a setup.exe file that installed Acrobat X Standard back onto my computer (I have the serial number of the pre-installed version on my Dell).  I also found the latest update on you site and installed that.  The real problem I am having is that nothing will open because it hangs and I get the "An internal error has occurred" message.  This even happens with a newly downloaded Acrobat Reader DC.

Try using this tool: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Also, what you're OS? Acrobat X is not compatible with Windows 10, if that's what you're using.

No, I have Win 7 now but I am thinking about cleaning all Adobe and then going to Win 10 to try and solve this problem.  It's good to know Acrobat X won't work at that point.  Maybe I will be able to get Acrobat Reader DC to work.
