My serial key was verified by Adobe for Acrobat 9 Pro and it still will not active. It says "Invalid Serial Number. This is not a valid serial number. Please go back and re-enter your serial."

I have downloaded and installed abode acrobat 9 pro but it will not let me finish the download until i put in my serial key. My serial key was verified by Adobe for Acrobat 9 Pro and it still will not active. It says "Invalid Serial Number. This is not a valid serial number. Please go back and re-enter your serial." No one over the phone or chat could help me other than saying my key is a working key. I typed it in with and without the hyphens.

you must use the correct installation file. eg, if you serial number of for a suite that includes acrobat 9 pro, you must use that suite's installation files. if that serial number is for acrobat 9 std, you must use acrobat 9 std installation files.
