Need to re-save filled out form in Acrobat Reader and keep same file name.

I made an extensive form for our client to collect information in. They need to access it and save it several times without making multiple versions.

Right now they can open it, fill out some fields and "save as" another file name. They would then need to go back and change or add more information to the form at a later date.

It will not let them re-save the file with the same file name, only "save as." This is very impractical since they will end up with many versions of the same form and all earlier versions would be out of date and useless to them.

Strange, I do it all the time by just using the disk Icon on the toolbar. You can do Save as and respecify the folder and file name click 'OK" and click "OK" to reuse file.

I can hit the save icon all day long as long as the file is open. Once it is closed, upon reopening it and making more changes it will not allow saving over the file.

When I do that I get the message:

pdfsaveissue.PNG

Hitting OK brings up the "Save as" dialog.

First thing I did when I saw that dialog box was to take the file off of preview in Windows Explorer and I still couldn't do it. But then when I got your message I thought, hmmm, I didn't try closing Explorer completely. Duh! Now it works. Didn't expect it to be something that mundane. Thanks!
