I have been trying to ocr a pdf filed, but this pdf has a lot of languages - mainly German and English, but also Greek and Hebrew. You can i ocr the file in all this language? Because the fonction only allows one language. Thanks

Here's the file. It's mostly English, but interspersed is a lot of Hebrew and Greek https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=71A26D5D57015353&id=71A26D5D57015353%216198&parId=root&o=OneUp When I try to save it from Acrobat I get garbage https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=71A26D5D57015353&id=71A26D5D57015353%216207&parId=root&o=OneUp  I saved it with English as primary language and then with Hebrew as primary language.  Both times garbage.

I posted it, Berndt,

because I need to finish an application to Harvard GSAS (Graduate School of Arts and Sciences) in subject Religion.  The article by Mr. Martone analyzes variant readings of the Hebrew and ancient Greek texts of the book of 1 Samuel.  The pdf is excellent; the Word document is a mess.  I need to quote from this article in the Word document I'm creating to fulfill the Writing Sample part of the application.  When I just now tried pasting from the pdf into the Word document, the Hebrew letters were reversed - left to right instead of right to left.

Sorry to say, but Acrobat don't support OCR in multiple languages. If this is one time activity, only solution here is(although time consuming and not recommended for large number of file or many languages)

- Export PDF to Word in different available languages one by one

- Create one of them as a base

- Replace all garbage text of this file with correct one from other word files

Hope it will help you.

Thanks.
