PDF triplicate forms ;)

New Here ,
Sep 12, 2016 Sep 12, 2016

HI,

Is there a way to create a PDF form, where a second version, or third version - could have additional text and some fields not display?

Think of way back invoices in triplicate where the second sheet says "packing list" and does not show the cost and extended pricing.

Thanks.

Sure. Just duplicate the pages with the fields and then edit them anyway you want to. Fields with the same name in the same form will automatically have the same value, so you can be sure that the user's input will be consistent throughout the file.

One can also use templates. Have a base form and for the print action add script to spawn a template for the packing list and a template for the duplicate of the form with any additional content you want before printing the PDF. This can even work with Reader XI and DC. One could even delete the 2 spawned pages.
